A moment of silence was observed for the miners in West Virginia and the soldiers serving in the mid-east.

After a few moments of tense discussion, and a very spirited announcement by Tom, K1TJK, it was decided that we would recite the pledge of alliegence and observe a moment of silence by a simple majority of the membership.
